To my family and friends...

Well... I planned on starting this blog much sooner, but things have been happening so very fast. I have been in Anchorage for two weeks today. First obstacle on my list was to find a place to life. Aaron and I searched all over Anchorage for days until we finally found a place to call home. It's perfect for us. It's a small condo in a nice area of town. The condo comes with two bedrooms and one bathroom. The big thing for me was the new appliances since I spend a lot of my free time cooking or baking. There's also a real wood-burning fireplace. It's so cozy! I can't wait to get furniture put in and really start enjoying it!
Next on my list was to find a job. As soon as I got into town I had several different interviews lined up with Nordstrom's, a high-end department store and fashion brand. I also interviewed with Apple. Nordstrom's offered me three different positions; Visual Merchandising, Mac Cosmetics, and Beauty/Skincare Advisor for Clinique. All positions sounded super fun for me, but Clinique was the best match. The biggest bonus (well, besides all the samples and discount) is full benefits. I'll have healthcare and what not, which is super important. Clinique is a really great company, and I really look forward to helping women with their skincare and cosmetics. Everyone should feel beautiful!

Aaron and I went to Homer to pick up some of his things and spend some time with his family. It was so awesome! God has given him such a great family. His parents treated me like they've known me for years. His two brothers were very welcoming as well. We went fishing, boating, golfing! All kinds of fun stuff. Aaron's mom, Kim, cooked huge amazing meals for us the whole time we were there. I have honestly never seen such a beautiful place. Homer, Alaska is one of those places EVERYONE needs to see at some point. You can really see God's glory through the beautiful scenery. It's amazing.

I should be starting to work a lot soon, and Aaron will be going back to work, as well. Hopefully, we will get our furniture so I can post some great pictures. Here are some to hold you over until then.

To my friends and family: I miss you all so much. I wish Alaska wasn't so far away. Although it's hard to be away from the people I love, I really feel that I am here for a reason. I believe that right now this path is what God has intended for me. I am moving forward in my passions and building some great experiences that will undoubtably help me in any future endeavors. I love you all and I hope you enjoy following me through this blog. Feel free to leave me comments :)
